The K5V160 series pilot pump (also known as a pilot gear pump or charge pump) is primarily used in the hydraulic systems of medium and large excavators such as the DH370, CAT336D, and SY285. This pump is installed at the rear of the main pump and is directly driven by the main pump's drive shaft. It employs an internal suction design, meaning it draws hydraulic oil directly from the oil chamber inside the main pump housing, eliminating the need for an external independent suction line. This provides a stable pilot control pressure for operating main control valves, regulators, and other components, ensuring precise system response. Its compact structure, high durability, and high suction efficiency significantly reduce the risk of air ingress, making it a key auxiliary component in open hydraulic systems.
Designed with energy efficiency as a core principle, the complete series helps minimize unnecessary power losses in hydraulic circuits, contributing to reduced fuel consumption and lower operating costs for end-users. Advanced internal designs across all models in the range promote smooth flow characteristics and quick response times, making the entire product family suitable for both conventional and modern energy-conscious machine designs.

Normally, it is packaged in cardboard boxes and then shipped on pallets or wooden crates. Special requirements from customers can be discussed and negotiated.
1. During installation, ensure the splines are aligned correctly and avoid forceful hammering to prevent damage to the drive shaft or pump shaft.
2. Tighten the bolts evenly and diagonally.
3. Confirm that the O-rings and seals are intact to prevent oil leaks from the housing.
